Join us for an informational evening! Ashley Church will be presenting on ‘The Future of Property Investment’. Ashley has an extensive background in the property industry, going back more than 30 years. He is the CEO of the Property Institute. With a high media profile, he is frequently called on as a guest commentator and industry expert in national media and television programmes. This meeting will be our AGM with guest speaker Andrew King. Andrew has made a huge contribution to the property investor sector. He is an executive member of NZPIF, a successful author and is often in the media representing property investors. Andrew is a popular speaker so this will be a must-see event. Our May monthly meeting will be hosted off-site by our silver partners - Harcourts at their Tauranga central offices, corner of Third Avenue and Devonport Road. Our theme for the night is a "Market update" of the local Tauranga market. With slowing capital growth for Tauranga, this will be a night you don't want to miss. Our evening will feature a variety of speakers including Nigel Martin from Harcourts, Margaret Holmes from Engine Room, and Juli Tolley from Quinovic each offering their take on the current state of the Tauranga market. For the April TPIA meeting we have local property investor Donna Youngman who won the first NZPIF/Resene Renovation of the Year winner at the annual NZPIF conference in Napier, sharing her story. Scotney will discuss updates on the legal aspects of being a landlord, recent law changes and decisions, and guidance on navigating the pending RTA changes. Our February's meeting will be a bus tour to Rotorua, on Sunday this time. This replaces our Monday night meeting. This will be a fun and enlightening afternoon/evening of getting `the low down' on Rotorua investments, followed by a `meet and greet' with the Rotorua members over a drink and a BBQ.
